Meet Agnes

An understated midi pleated skirt

Another sewing pattern is here for you, and this time it’s Agnes, the mellow pleated skirt as seen in my Garçon in Pleats video. Key features include a center inverted box pleat, crisp knife pleats flanking either side, practical side pockets (that can be omitted to keep side seams uninterrupted), and an invisible zipper closure at the side.

In all her crisp wallflower glory, Agnes is perfect if you have muted wools in your stash that have been waiting their turn, or perhaps some plaid or tartan fabrics if you’re brave. (My eyes did hover on my plaids for a quick wink, but a small squirrel inside my head shouted “PATTERN MATCH!” and I quickly averted my gaze).
